A recent development within the Alpine Group has been the introduction of Orangeries and Glazed Garden Rooms.
Traditional style orangeries with lantern roofs in either UPVC or Hardwood set the style for a more permanent addition to your home. Originally these buildings were developed in the 17th century for the growing and development of citrus fruits including oranges - hence the name.
|
Today they are viewed as a substantial and long term addition to a property, often including brick or stonework detailing.
Our 'Guide to Orangeries' will show the traditional architectural terms including cornices, pediments, hoppers and aluminium guttering.
At Alpine we have researched and fully understand the architectural |
importance of these buildings both from a technical and aesthetic viewpoint. We have given a contemporary twist by adding details like Bi-folding doors and totally maintenance free guttering and downpipes.
Aluminium Atrium roofs are becoming very popular.
